Behind the design: PEACE

peace tee

PEACE: freedom from distraction, anxiety, or fear; harmony, contentment, rest, stillness, unity.

What I love about this is that peace is not the absence of situations that can cause distraction, anxiety, or fear. it is simply and truly the freedom to navigate through those situations differently. I still come face to face with scary things. I still tangibly experience anxious moments. I still live on a planet with distractions around every corner every single day. peace isn’t that these situations always go away, but it is the powerful truth that I am no longer held hostage to fear & worry. anxiety and fear are handled differently when peace rules in my heart BECAUSE I am a member of Christ’s body and called to peace.

I encourage your beautiful selves from the authority of God’s Word to boldly approach His throne of grace && with prayer, petition, and thanksgiving share what’s on your heart with Him. may His peace that surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus! there may be much chaos around you, but may your hearts and minds be protected by His peace today. be still & know that He is God!! He will be exalted among the nations and lifted high in the earth. don’t fear, for He is with you! don’t be dismayed, for He is your God! He will strengthen you & help you & uphold you with His righteous and victorious right hand. nothing is too hard for Him. in Him, you lack no good thing, and His own peace He gives you, so don’t let your hearts be troubled.

but, you can’t expect to have a heart and mind at rest when you choose to dwell on fears and worries. as those thoughts come in, take them captive & correct them with the truth that sets free. you are more than a conqueror through Christ. His punishment on the cross brought us peace once and for all & I pray this love that casts out fear, compels you to be relieved in deliverance. His yoke is easy and His burden is oh so light.

In a world filled with chaos, terror, and unknowns, especially during this time it’s easy to forget that we can still find that peace which surpasses ALL understanding. We can put our trust and hope in Christ because he already conquered death and is ALIVE.

This is so so so good Emma! This is so needed in today’s world. This really encourages me to take my thoughts captive to Christ. I need to remember that His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. Love you as a sister in Christ! ~Hayden
